The science behind it

Our team of scientists, lead by Dr. Jean Jacques Chiche MD conducted a TEWL (Trans Epidermal Water Loss) test on skin that had been treated by the OZEADERMA Wind Care line of products to verify the level of water that passes through the epidermal layer (skin) in an evaporation process. The measurement is important to skin care as a high TEWL result signifies a weaker skin barrier and can account for skin damagefrom irritants and elements such as wind and heat. The TEWL test found that the OZEADERMA Wind Care products improved the skin’s TEWL result by approximately 50%. It was further found that the product line improves the skin’s protective coat against wind, heat, cold, dirt, pollution and irritants and may help in preventing bacteria from penetrating the skin.

Dr. Jean Jacques Chiche is a MD who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Paris. Dr. Chiche has a degree in Dermatology and practices in the US and Europe. He has worked with hospitals in Paris including CHU Pitié-Salpétrère. He is a member of the board at Keiser University located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Dr. Jean Jacques Chiche has successfully tested The OZEADERMA Wind Care products in North America and Europe.
